About the Role

Package and ship all outgoing units to ensure they arrive undamaged at their proper destination. Unpack and distribute all incoming units.

Responsibilities

  • Open and distribute all incoming packages.
  • Deliver mail between buildings and the Post Office.
  • Maintain a clean and safe shipping and garage area.
  • Package and ship units daily.
  • Sort packages by carrier.
  • Work late as needed to ensure timely shipment of customer units.
  • Ensure all packages shipped reflect positively on the company.
  • Load and unload delivery trucks.
  • Comply with company policies, procedures, and quality systems.
  • Perform additional duties as requested.

Requirements

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to communicate with other employees.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Must have basic computer skills.
  • Regularly required to stand and use hands to handle objects, tools, or controls.
  • Frequently required to walk and reach with hands and arms.
  • Occasionally required to climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear.
  • Must regularly lift and/or move up to 150 pounds with assistance.
  • Specific vision abilities required include peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Regularly works in outside weather conditions.
  • Frequently works near moving mechanical parts.
  • Frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles.
  • Occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals.
  • Moderate to loud noise level in the work environment.
  • Non-smoking work environment.
