About the Role
Package and ship all outgoing units to ensure they arrive undamaged at their proper destination. Unpack and distribute all incoming units.
Responsibilities
- Open and distribute all incoming packages.
- Deliver mail between buildings and the Post Office.
- Maintain a clean and safe shipping and garage area.
- Package and ship units daily.
- Sort packages by carrier.
- Work late as needed to ensure timely shipment of customer units.
- Ensure all packages shipped reflect positively on the company.
- Load and unload delivery trucks.
- Comply with company policies, procedures, and quality systems.
- Perform additional duties as requested.
Requirements
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to communicate with other employees.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Must have basic computer skills.
- Regularly required to stand and use hands to handle objects, tools, or controls.
- Frequently required to walk and reach with hands and arms.
- Occasionally required to climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear.
- Must regularly lift and/or move up to 150 pounds with assistance.
- Specific vision abilities required include peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- Regularly works in outside weather conditions.
- Frequently works near moving mechanical parts.
- Frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles.
- Occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals.
- Moderate to loud noise level in the work environment.
- Non-smoking work environment.
