About the Role
AlgorithmWatch is seeking a Co-Team Lead for the Engagement team, responsible for fundraising and campaigning. This role involves shared leadership, with distinct thematic responsibilities and joint goal-setting to achieve advocacy and fundraising objectives. The focus will be on political campaigning, mobilization, and strategy development.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement AlgorithmWatch's engagement strategy.
- Co-lead and develop the team with the co-lead, including personnel development, resource planning, and steering.
- Manage strategic planning and development of campaigns.
- Identify relevant moments and topics in politics, media, and internal work to translate into impactful campaigns.
- Coordinate activities within a team of campaigners and fundraisers, in alignment with other teams.
- Conceptualize, plan, and execute campaigns to mobilize, activate, and retain supporters.
- Conceptualize, write, and edit mobilizing content for various target groups and channels.
- Analyze and evaluate campaigns to increase impact.
- Support the team in introducing and developing tools and processes.
Requirements
- Several years of experience in campaigning and knowledge of fundraising, marketing, or communication.
- Strong strategic competence and the ability to actively contribute to the organization's future.
- Enjoyment of collaboration in a dual leadership role, regular sparring, and taking responsibility.
- Experience in personnel management and ideally team and personnel development.
- Enjoyment of motivating people to political action and the ability to create compelling and activating content.
- In-depth expertise in developing and implementing (digital) campaigns.
- Clear communication and high self-reflection in a leadership role.
- Ability to quickly familiarize oneself with complex topics.
- Proficiency with digital tools (e.g., CRM, CMS, Canva) and the ability to quickly learn new systems.
- Strong ability to build and maintain internal and external relationships (networks, collaborations, etc.).
- Text proficiency and good communication skills in German and English.
