About the Role
Spire Orthopedic Partners is a growing national partnership of orthopedic practices. As a Management Services Organization (MSO), Spire provides the infrastructure for administrative operations that allows practices to operate at their highest level, so doctors can focus their efforts on what matters most – patient care.
Responsibilities
- Manage calls from patients requiring medical care and provide/gather information.
- Take electronic messages and convey information to respective medical care providers.
- Screen and transfer calls to the appropriate person/department.
- Assign pending documents into a patient’s chart within the EMR system.
- Provide excellent customer service.
- Perform other duties as assigned by managers and leads.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- One year of medical experience.
- Familiarity with HIPAA and other insurance regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Knowledge of medical office procedures, policies, practices, and medical terminology.
- Proficiency with Windows-based software.
- Ability to represent the organization in a professional manner.
Skills
- Health care receptionist or call center experience preferred.
- Electronic medical systems experience is a plus (Athena/Centricity, Medi-Tech, etc.).
- Strong communication skills, verbal and written.
- Extensive customer service experience.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
