About the Role

Drive customer satisfaction through project safety and quality assurance by coordinating all quality and safety activities from tender stage through contract closure. You will establish and implement the Project Quality Management Plan (PQMP) and ensure project deliverables meet quality and safety standards, acting as the independent voice of the customer.

Responsibilities

  • Lead quality and safety activities from tender stage through project completion.
  • Act as the interface with customer quality and safety teams, attending Customer Satisfaction Surveys, and ensuring action plans are monitored and executed.
  • Develop and maintain the Project Quality Management Plan (PQMP) to ensure compliance with contract requirements and Alstom processes.
  • Coordinate quality and safety activities across various teams, including Engineering, Industrial, and Supplier Quality teams.
  • Support project audits, reviews, and supplier quality systems to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure the implementation of safety assessments and prepare safety authorizations.

Requirements

  • Graduate or post-graduate degree in engineering, ideally with a management background.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in quality assurance and safety management within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Prior experience in the rail industry or a comparable sector (e.g., aerospace, automotive, or heavy machinery).
  • Awareness of processes and products delivered in large-scale projects.
  • Experience in managing quality tools and problem-solving methodologies (e.g., 8D, QRQC, FMEA).
  • Knowledge of quality standards such as ISO 9001, IRIS, CMMI, and ECM.
  • Understanding of safety assessments and railway industry norms and certifications (preferred).
  • Strong communication and customer-facing skills to effectively collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Experience in ramp-ups and supplier/customer-facing quality activities.
  • Ability to lead and influence cross-functional and geographically distributed teams.
  • Experience with Six Sigma principles and Lean methodologies (preferred).
  • Willingness to travel both domestically and internationally.
  • Fluency in English (mandatory).
