About the Role

As a Part-Time Security Officer, you can build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. As an Armed Patrol Officer in a retail location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a highly visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and provide outstanding customer service. You will communicate professionally with customers, employees, and law enforcement while supporting a welcoming environment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to shoppers, employees, vendors, and visitors while carrying out site-specific procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the store, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter to help deter theft, trespassing, and other unauthorized activity.
Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following applicable procedures.
Monitor access points, observe activity for potential security-related concerns, and report incidents or hazards to appropriate personnel.
Maintain required reports and documentation, and carry authorized equipment in accordance with company policy, site requirements, and applicable law.

Requirements

Possess at least 3 years of combined law enforcement, corrections, and/or military experience or at least 5 years of armed security-related experience.
Be at least 21 years of age.
Possess a Level III Armed Certification in Texas only.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
