About the Role
This role involves customizing coding, software integration, performing analysis, and configuring solutions using relevant tools. You will provide escalated support for applications in production, work independently on most phases of analysis and programming, and offer direction in solution development and maintenance. In an Agile environment, you will deliver high-quality software, automate tasks, and consult with the business from the design phase. You will also refine user stories, develop robust unit testing, support integration and functional testing, and resolve issues for client-facing applications. Additionally, you will build and maintain security controls, lead moderately complex projects, and solve complex technical and operational problems, acting as a resource for teammates.
Responsibilities
- Customize coding, software integration, perform analysis, and configure solutions.
- Provide escalated support for applications in production.
- Work independently on most phases of applications systems analysis and programming activities.
- Provide direction in the development and maintenance of solutions.
- Participate in various phases of the development life cycle.
- Deliver high quality working software and automate manual/reusable tasks.
- Engage with the business from the beginning of the design work.
- Leverage continuous engineering practices to deliver business value.
- Actively participate in refining user stories.
- Develop robust unit testing and support integration and functional testing.
- Consult and partner with business product owners to understand end goals and offer solutions.
- Provide support and issue resolution for performance and load testing.
- Build in and maintain security controls and monitoring.
- Lead moderately complex projects and participate in larger initiatives.
- Solve complex technical and operational problems.
- Act as a resource for teammates.
- Provide automated monitoring capabilities.
- Provide warranty support.
- Provide knowledge transfer to production support.
Requirements
- Must have Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related technical field.
- Must have 4 years of experience in software engineering positions or IT consulting positions.
- Applying in-depth knowledge in information systems and ability to identify, apply, and implement IT best practices.
- Understanding of key business processes and competitive strategies related to the IT function.
- Planning and managing projects and solving complex problems by applying best practices.
- Providing direction and mentoring less experienced teammates.
