About the Role

Transport UK London Bus is seeking innovative, self-starting individuals with a passion for the bus industry to join their Engineering teams as Advanced Engineers (HGV/PSV Technician level 3). This role offers a competitive wage and the opportunity to have half the year off, with voluntary overtime available to further increase earnings. 5-day shifts are also an option.

Responsibilities

  • Inspecting, repairing, and maintaining buses.
  • Investigating and diagnosing mechanical and electronic faults.
  • Recording faults and repair work using a tablet.
  • Following safety instructions and reporting issues.

Requirements

  • NVQ or City and Guilds level 3 qualification for maintenance and repair of public service vehicles or heavy goods vehicles (or an equivalent international qualification).
  • PCV licence is desired but not essential.
  • Good standard of Maths and English.
  • Ability to read and understand instructions and service manuals.
  • Knowledge of fleet management technical computer systems.
  • Ability to work well in a team.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work flexibly.
  • Willingness to undertake training as requested by the service manager.
  • Ability to work using own initiative.
