About the Role

The Bilingual Operations Manager supports the High School Operations Team by providing high-quality operational support to students and staff daily. This role includes managing main office responsibilities, student records and enrollment, family communication and engagement, and school environment and supervision.

Responsibilities

  • Manage office administration systems for smooth school operation.
  • Manage the ordering and availability of office and classroom supplies.
  • Manage and resolve Tier 1 technical issues on student and staff devices and site technology.
  • Communicate and follow up on Tier 2 technical issues with external Tech Support Company.
  • Support managers and employees with organization and communication tasks.
  • Perform daily tasks including maintaining the school calendar, providing written translations, translating at parent meetings, and preparing event flyers and parent communications.
  • Manage the school’s virtual bulletin board with updated announcements.
  • Execute duties to ensure smooth building operations.
  • Support logistics and preparations for school events, trips, and activities.
  • Manage the school’s inventory of consumable materials.
  • Maintain physical and electronic student records for accuracy, completeness, and confidentiality.
  • Assist with monitoring student attendance data and support follow-up communication with families.
  • Manage student information in ATS and the school’s internal student information system.
  • Manage outreach to engage families in their children’s education and maintain open communication.
  • Build relationships with families to support ongoing communication and involvement.
  • Serve as a facilitator for family concerns regarding school policies or facilities.
  • Organize events to increase family and community involvement.
  • Plan and attend family meetings with the principal.
  • Work closely with school, family, and community organizations to increase family involvement.
  • Train families in PowerSchool and Parent Square.
  • Assist with daily arrival and dismissal duties to ensure student safety.
  • Serve as a welcoming point of contact for families and visitors.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in school operations, administrative support, and family engagement.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to build positive relationships with families and staff.
  • Comfortable providing tech support and troubleshooting for hardware and software.
  • Committed to building school, family, and community partnerships that support improved student outcomes.
  • Highly organized, proactive, and detail-oriented.
  • Self-reflective with the capacity to accept and implement feedback.
  • Flexible and optimistic, with a “whatever it takes” spirit.

Skills

  • Fluent communication in English and Spanish, with a preference for written communication skills.
  • Solutions-focused thinking.
  • Strong communication, planning, and time management skills.
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, and school platforms (PowerSchool, ParentSquare, etc.).
