About the Role
The Visual Lead is responsible for achieving store sales and maximizing profitability through Visual Merchandising in partnership with the Management Team. This role involves working closely with Operations & Visual Managers to delegate work and provide feedback, ensuring optimal results that support total store operations. Duties require constant movement throughout the store, including the sales floor and back of house, and taking initiative to maintain a clean, safe, and efficient environment.
Responsibilities
- Manage execution of key operational functions including shipment, receiving and processing, reverse transfers, sales floor recovery, intra-day sales floor replenishment, floor set updates, and supply management.
- Maintain strategic product presentation and merchandising by ensuring product recovery, restock, destock, and making visual merchandising changes in accordance with directives and in partnership with the Visual Manager.
- Effectively plan visual floor changes with the management team through payroll management and adapting the zone and visual support to the needs of the business.
- Execute and maintain visual direction from planning through execution to meet company expectations, budgets, and timelines.
- Utilize reporting tools in partnership with management to identify business opportunities with product placement, outfitting, and stock levels, making changes as necessary.
- Partner with Operations & Visual Managers to manage reporting, budgets, expenses, inventory control, supplies, vendor relationships, technology, and facilities.
- Demonstrate strong business acumen by leveraging metrics to support business-driving strategies.
- Move dynamically on the retail floor to assess and fulfill the needs of the business, team, and guests.
- Lead by example and inspire staff in daily operations, guest experience, and visual standards.
- Partner with management to provide coaching, guidance, and direction to Associates, including recruitment and development of talent.
- Use company performance tools to evaluate associates and provide constant feedback to drive individual growth and improvement in partnership with the store leader.
- Collaborate with Operations Lead to ensure cross-functional training, and Sales & Service Lead to ensure the business is well-executed.
- Execute company-level operations-focused directives, projects, and initiatives in partnership with the leadership team to achieve goals & KPIs.
- Open and close the store in accordance with visual standards.
Requirements
- 2+ Years prior work experience in a client-centric, sales environment.
- Proven leadership capabilities demonstrating excellent decision making.
- Values feedback, receptive to receiving feedback and eager to provide.
- Self-motivated with a desire to achieve results and excel individually, and as a team.
- Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
- Aligns with and embodies ALO’s Guiding Principles.
- Requires constant movement in and around all areas of store.
- Ability to lift, push, carry or otherwise move up to 10-15KG.
- Ability to lift, bend, kneel, climb, crawl and/or twist, and safely climb up/down a ladder.
- Ability to stand and move for an entire shift.
- Flexible approach to availability, including working a rotating roster across peak trading periods and weekends.
