About the Role
Little Lukes is seeking Assistant Teachers to support daycare classrooms, working with a team of Certified Lead Teachers and Special Education Teachers to foster the development and education of preschool children ages 3-5 in inclusive classrooms.
Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional care and instruction.
- Support the development and education of preschool children, ages 3 to 5 years, within inclusive classrooms.
- Assist in teaching developmentally appropriate academic and social skills to prepare children for kindergarten through strong, language-based, whole group, small group, and one-on-one interactions.
- Help to create a positive, engaging, and structured learning environment.
- Implement effective classroom management.
- Help to set and reinforce classroom expectations and routines.
Requirements

- Expertise in delivering care for the educational, developmental, and social emotional growth of children.
- A warm, engaging approach with a family-centered focus.
- The drive to work hard, be your best self, and adapt to the constant change and evolution of care for children in their Early Childhood years.
- Exceptional communication skills (written and verbal) and an ability to share feedback across teams in a collaborative and solution-oriented way.
- Preferred but not required: An active NYS Teacher Assistant certification. We will pay for your certification!
