About the Role
Integrated Wound Care is seeking a Part-Time Medical Assistant to assist physicians and nurses during wound care rounds in a long-term care facility. This role involves managing medical supplies and patient information, contributing to efficient and innovative care programs that aid patient recovery and prevent hospitalizations.
Responsibilities
- Record patients' wound information as dictated by the provider.
- Assist physicians and nurses with wound care procedures.
- Respond to patient inquiries and concerns professionally.
- Assist with administrative tasks, including sending documentation to the appropriate department.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of a certified Medical Assistant program.
- Current Medical Assistant certification.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented and organized.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficient in using electronic medical records systems.
- Some experience in wound care is preferred.
- Flexible schedule, Monday-Friday, with no evenings or weekends.
