About the Role
Join Easterseals Central Texas as an Early Intervention Specialist in Central Texas, providing discipline-specific services to infants and toddlers and their families.
Responsibilities
- Provide routines-based Specialized Skills Training and/or family training to infants and toddlers ages 0-3, and their parents.
- Provide hands-on or direct training of skills, documentation, billing, competencies, and theory as assigned.
- Offer case management services to families, including identifying social service needs for appropriate community referral.
- Maintain communication with the main office throughout work hours.
- Initiate and maintain contact with children's physicians for obtaining and updating necessary medical information.
- Assist and facilitate the work of team members, other departments, and agency managers in attaining organizational goals.
- Attend staff meetings, agency and ECI team in-services, and training.
- Complete continuing education required for certification/licensure and renew as necessary.
- Update Human Resources on all needed documentation regularly as required by agency standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Development, Special Education, Psychology, or a related Humanities field.
- Two years’ experience working with infants and toddlers, preferably children with special needs.
- Bilingual in Spanish is preferred.
