About the Role

This role requires working with an experienced team in the provision of legal advice and drafting of contracts to enable the Council to deliver on its projects and corporate plans, including its extensive transformation and regeneration. Responsibilities

  • Play a key leading role in the successful delivery of quality legal services to the Council.
  • Be responsible for a varied and intellectually challenging caseload in relation to contract and procurement matters.
  • Provide legal advice and draft contracts to enable the Council to deliver on its projects and corporate plans.

Requirements

  • Qualified Solicitor, Barrister or Legal Executive (CILEX).
  • At least 4 years PQE.
  • A minimum of 3 years PQE if the Law Society Diploma in Local Government Law (or similar relevant qualification) is held.
  • Local government experience is ideal, but applications from those in the private sector are also welcome.
