About the Role

We are establishing the Sales Operations & Logistics function of our Germany National Sales Company (NSC) and seek an experienced, hands-on Director of Sales Operations & Logistics to build and lead this critical business area from the ground up. This role combines full responsibility for operational excellence across sales planning, logistics, market intelligence, and business development, ensuring a seamless end-to-end supply and sales operation. The successful candidate will work closely with the German management team and Europe Regional Centre to implement scalable processes, ensure product and logistics readiness, and drive data-driven decision-making to support sustainable business growth.

Responsibilities

  • Define and implement the overall sales operations and logistics strategy for the German NSC.
  • Establish organizational structures, processes, and policies across all operational functions.
  • Ensure alignment with European Regional Centre and global standards.
  • Drive operational excellence and scalability across all areas of responsibility.
  • Lead market intelligence activities including competition and market analysis.
  • Provide insights to support pricing, positioning, and product strategy decisions.
  • Oversee price and product marketing in alignment with brand and sales strategy.
  • Support launch planning and lifecycle management of vehicles and services.
  • Oversee vehicle logistics, inbound flows, and distribution processes.
  • Manage stock planning, allocation, and inventory optimization.
  • Ensure effective pipeline management from order to delivery.
  • Oversee warehouse control and operational efficiency.
  • Manage parts logistics ensuring availability and timely supply.
  • Lead digital transformation initiatives across sales operations and logistics.
  • Ensure implementation and integration of IT systems and data platforms.
  • Support CRM, DMS, and backend system connectivity with GAC platforms.
  • Drive data analytics, reporting, and dashboard development for decision support.
  • Oversee Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI/PDS) processes and standards.
  • Ensure training readiness across operational and technical functions.
  • Manage homologation-related topics in coordination with regulatory bodies.
  • Supervise compliance engineering specialist activities and technical conformity.
  • Ensure efficient vehicle registration processes.
  • Lead market launch programs ensuring operational readiness and timely execution.
  • Coordinate cross-functional launch activities.
  • Identify and drive business development opportunities within operations and logistics.
  • Support continuous improvement and innovation initiatives across the organization.

Requirements

  • University degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in sales operations, logistics, or automotive operations.
  • Proven leadership experience in managing complex operational functions.
  • Strong background in automotive logistics, product management, or market intelligence.
  • Experience in building new organizations or fast-growing environments is highly preferred.
  • Native or fluent German and fluent English required; additional languages are a plus.
  • Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making capabilities.
  • Deep understanding of automotive supply chain, logistics, and market dynamics.
  • Excellent project management and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to combine strategic planning with hands-on execution.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with strong ownership and accountability.
  • Comfortable working in a multicultural and fast-paced environment.
