About the Role
Join Catholic Charities of Housing Office as an SRO Janitor and contribute to making a positive impact in the community. This role is pivotal in ensuring the safety and cleanliness of our Single Resident Occupancy buildings, directly affecting the lives of residents.
Responsibilities
- Ensure Catholic Charities Housing Office Single Resident Occupancy buildings are in good repair, maintaining building safety and cleanliness.
- Perform routine interior maintenance, including cleaning common areas, ensuring entrances are clear, vacuuming and shampooing rugs, and managing trash and garbage.
- Inspect and clean common areas such as lobby, kitchen, lounges, bathrooms, and halls each shift.
- Inspect grounds and perform tasks to maintain safe and clean grounds year-round.
- Inventory and maintain cleaning supplies in an organized manner.
- Assist in the preparation of vacant rooms for move-ins.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1-3 years of experience working with a diverse population
- NYS Driver's License
