About the Role

The Head of Commercial Finance will be responsible for financial modeling, commercial strategy, and cross-functional financial partnerships to support Ticket Tailor's new initiatives, client relationships, and financial health. This role is pivotal in a new venture set to be transformational for the business, acting as a key finance stakeholder for payments, pricing, tax, and financial processing.

Responsibilities

  • Owning complex financial modelling for new products, focusing on pricing, business models, and high-value deals.
  • Translating complex data into clear strategic decisions and outcomes.
  • Building cross-functional relationships and presenting strategy to leadership.
  • Supporting the accountancy firm and internal ops team with ongoing activities and finance best practice.
  • Becoming the key finance stakeholder and expert on payments, pricing, tax, and financial processing.
  • Modelling and pricing ownership of new initiatives.
  • Providing ongoing budgeting, modelling, and reconciliation of new business models.
  • Leading strategic negotiation and financial modelling for high-value client deals.
  • Partnering with Product, Tech, Operations, Sales, and Success to understand customer usage data.
  • Creating tailored narratives from data to support decision-making and strategic planning.
  • Presenting strategies and outcomes to leadership.
  • Contributing to the broader team vision, establishing goals, priorities, and milestones.
  • Implementing best practice and process improvement with the accountancy firm and internal ops team.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated commercial success in Financial Planning and Accounting (FP&A), Strategy, pricing, or a commercially analytical field, delivering quantifiable outcomes.
  • Experience in the payments sector is ideal; experience at a scaled ticketing platform, ecommerce brand, or marketplace is also relevant.
  • Comfortable building reports and dashboards, ideally with SQL, Google Data Studios, and visualization tools like Looker or Tableau.
  • Proactive in using AI to speed up analysis, modeling, and reporting.
  • Strong commercial instincts with rigorous attention to detail.
  • Ability to move between granular detail and clear strategic recommendations.
  • Hands-on approach with a willingness to execute tasks of all sizes.
  • Comfortable operating in a flat structure.
