The 32BJ Training Fund is seeking qualified candidates for a part-time Plumbing Basics instructor for classes taught in the New York City area.

Plan and implement lesson plans aligned to the program curriculum and incorporating educational materials.
Teach content related to basic plumbing skills through a student-centered approach.
Teach hands-on skills specific to basic plumbing repair and maintenance.
Implement, adapt, and supplement lesson plans from the curriculum.
Maintain and submit attendance records.
Maintain ongoing communication with supervisor.
Participate in relevant professional development activities.

Sound knowledge of basic plumbing concepts and theory, including repair and maintenance.
Experience with residential and commercial plumbing systems.
5 years of industry experience working in plumbing installation and repair.
Licensed plumber preferred but not required.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with students from diverse linguistic and cultural backgrounds.
Ability to use digital platforms to instruct, communicate, and record program data.
Record of completed COVID-19 vaccine or confirmed medical/religious exemption.
Compliance with current COVID-19 protocols of the organization.
