About the Role

At Zalando, you will standardize data excellence in our lab environment, acting as a bridge between physical garment expertise, data collection, and engineering. Your work will ensure high-quality data, empowering Applied Science teams to help millions of customers find their perfect size and fit. This role is for individuals with a passion for garment expertise, a data-driven mindset, and the drive to own innovative ideas.

Responsibilities

Take full ownership of data collection quality within the lab, setting standard operating procedures to guarantee accurate, high-fidelity data.
Act as the vital translator and collaborator between lab data collection, Engineering, and Applied Science teams to continuously improve sizing algorithms and product fit for our customers.
Lead your own ideas and initiatives from concept to successful execution, bringing fresh perspectives to optimize lab workflows.
Apply your technical fashion knowledge to ensure that raw data directly feeds into meaningful sizing solutions for online shoppers.

Requirements

A background as a fashion expert.
A strong quality-first mindset with exceptional attention to detail, specifically in garment construction, fit, and data accuracy within a lab environment.
The ability to bridge cross-functional domains—translating complex fashion concepts to software engineers and data scientists with ease.
An entrepreneurial, proactive spirit with a proven track record of taking initiative and leading projects to success independently.
