About the Role

As Principal Product Manager ML - Pricing Platform, you will work with engineering, operations research, and machine learning teams to build the engineering backbone for sophisticated forecasting and optimization products that drive pricing decisions. You will understand stakeholder needs, drive delivery, and prioritize development, ultimately being responsible for delivering the right product. Your decisions will impact millions of Zalando shoppers and the daily prices they see on our platform, with a direct and measurable impact on the business's bottom line.

Responsibilities

Shape the engineering infrastructure for cutting-edge optimization products that recommend prices for over 300k items in 24+ countries almost daily
Define a long-term vision to deliver against, identify and prioritize problems and solutions, build fact-based business cases
Structure complex mathematical/economics topics into easy-to-understand messages and communicate effectively across all levels
Work with the team and stakeholders to develop and prioritize epics and user stories
Lead the delivery with engineering, operations research, and data science teams in an agile development process

Requirements

Product management experience on a lead/principal level, owning a long-term vision and roadmap
Using a data-driven approach to identify problems and guide the implementation of solutions in line with the vision
Excellent communication skills with the ability to understand, analyze, and clearly communicate business problems and priorities to engineering teams and business stakeholders
Very good understanding of econometrics, math, and statistics
Python/SQL skills
Experience in machine learning and data science/engineering
