About the Role
As a Field Service Engineer at SCIEX, you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and installation of SCIEX products at customer facilities and internal labs. You will contribute to maximizing customer satisfaction and building long-term trust through prompt and accurate technical support, ensuring stable equipment operation.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to customer satisfaction and business growth through product maintenance, repair, and inspection services.
- Continuously improve expertise and technical skills.
- Provide technical services including periodic inspections, repairs, equipment installation, validation, technical support, failure analysis, troubleshooting, and assistance with service quotations.
- Accurately gather customer situation details and provide prompt problem resolution.
- Report any delays or incidents leading to complaints to superiors immediately to mitigate potential risks.
- Share technical information and best practices within the team and collaborate with stakeholders to resolve customer issues.
- Provide appropriate technical advice to customers and strive to build trust.
Requirements
- Graduation from a technical college, higher technical college, junior college, or university in engineering, life sciences, electronics, or measurement instruments, or equivalent industry experience.
- Experience in installation, maintenance, repair, troubleshooting, or technical support of analytical instruments, research equipment, medical devices, industrial equipment, or related systems.
- Ability to provide customer support in Japanese.
- Ability to understand technical manuals and documents in English.
- Possession of a valid driver's license to travel within the assigned service area.
