Tuxedos K9 Training Camp Inc in Rochester, NY is looking for a passionate and dependable Overnight Dog Day Care Attendant to join their team. This role is ideal for individuals who love dogs and thrive in a hands-on, animal-focused environment.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and monitor dogs overnight to ensure their safety, comfort, and well-being
- Provide feeding, watering, and medication administration as directed for each dog in care
- Facilitate safe group play and socialization among dogs of varying sizes and temperaments
- Maintain clean and sanitary kennel environments through regular cleaning and disinfecting
- Observe and report any signs of illness, injury, or behavioral concerns to management
- Follow established protocols for dog handling, emergency procedures, and facility security
- Document overnight activity logs and communicate updates to day shift staff
Requirements
- Genuine love for dogs and experience working with or caring for animals
- Ability to work overnight shifts, including weekends and holidays
- Comfortable handling dogs of all sizes, breeds, and temperaments
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify signs of stress or illness in dogs
- Reliable, responsible, and able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Physical ability to stand, walk, and be active throughout the shift
- Prior experience in a kennel, veterinary, or pet care setting is a plus
