About the Role

As Senior Manager, Sales planning and strategy at DoorDash, you will play a pivotal role in executing against top company business objectives and help define our sales strategy and planning roadmap. You will be responsible for leading a team of sales planners and analysts, with responsibilities ranging from strategic design of incentives and GTM strategy integration to operational tasks like compensation plan design and implementation. You will bring a strategic mindset and deliver critical insights using analytical and technical support to the successful administration of sales incentive programs globally while proactively building partnerships and promoting open dialogue. Reporting to the Director of Sales Strategy and Planning, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to provide valuable insights and recommendations.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a high-performing team of sales planners and analysts to own the development, implementation and administration of new and existing sales incentive structures for our SMB Post Sales team.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Marketing, Operations, Finance, Legal, HR and Product, to drive alignment and support decision-making.
  • Analyze large datasets to derive actionable insights, identify trends, and provide recommendations to improve sales performance and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with Sales leadership to develop and implement strategies to optimize sales performance, including territory planning, pricing strategies, and salesforce effectiveness.
  • Develop and maintain sales forecasting models, track key performance metrics, and prepare regular reports for executive leadership and Sales teams.
  • Mentor and develop team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth within the Sales planning team.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a leadership role within Sales operations, Sales planning or related field, preferably in the technology marketplace, logistics, or e-commerce industry.
  • A bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Statistics, or a related field. Advanced degree (e.g., MBA, MS) is a plus.
  • Proven track record of leading cross-functional initiatives, hitting goals, and succeeding in a complex and fast moving environment.
  • Excellent analytical thinker who can deliver actionable recommendations out of complex datasets.
  • SQL experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience with Salesforce/Excel.
  • Expert communication and interpersonal skills.
