About the Role

We are looking for innovative, self-starting individuals with a passion for working in the busy and dynamic bus industry to join our Engineering teams across London. This role offers a unique shift pattern with significant time off, with opportunities to boost earnings through voluntary overtime.

Responsibilities

  • Investigate and diagnose mechanical and electrical faults.
  • Inspect, repair, and maintain vehicles.
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures.
  • Work unsupervised and as part of a team.
  • Be flexible and adaptable to business requirements.

Requirements

  • Hold at least an NVQ or City and Guilds level 3 qualification for maintenance and repair of public service vehicles or heavy goods vehicles (or an equivalent international qualification).
  • Possess a good standard of Maths and English.
  • Be able to read and understand instructions and service manuals.
  • Know how to use fleet management technical computer systems.
  • Be able to meet deadlines and work flexibly.
  • Be happy to take any training requested by the service manager.
  • Be able to work well using your own initiative.

Skills

  • NVQ or City and Guilds level 3 qualification in PSV or HGV maintenance and repair
  • IRTEC (training provided if not held)
  • PCV licence (desired)
  • Maths and English proficiency
  • Ability to read and understand technical manuals
  • Proficiency with fleet management technical computer systems
  • Teamwork
