About the Role
We are looking for innovative, self-starting individuals with a passion for working in the busy and dynamic bus industry to join our Engineering teams across London. This role offers a unique shift pattern with significant time off, with opportunities to boost earnings through voluntary overtime.
Responsibilities
- Investigate and diagnose mechanical and electrical faults.
- Inspect, repair, and maintain vehicles.
- Comply with all company policies and procedures.
- Work unsupervised and as part of a team.
- Be flexible and adaptable to business requirements.
Requirements
- Hold at least an NVQ or City and Guilds level 3 qualification for maintenance and repair of public service vehicles or heavy goods vehicles (or an equivalent international qualification).
- Possess a good standard of Maths and English.
- Be able to read and understand instructions and service manuals.
- Know how to use fleet management technical computer systems.
- Be able to meet deadlines and work flexibly.
- Be happy to take any training requested by the service manager.
- Be able to work well using your own initiative.
Skills
- NVQ or City and Guilds level 3 qualification in PSV or HGV maintenance and repair
- IRTEC (training provided if not held)
- PCV licence (desired)
- Maths and English proficiency
- Ability to read and understand technical manuals
- Proficiency with fleet management technical computer systems
