About the Role

As part of a team of six dramaturgs and music educators, you will contribute to the artistic planning of the Konzerthaus Berlin. You will develop and implement educational programs, outreach activities, and collaborations, focusing on inclusive musical workshops for children, youth, and young adults. This project role is funded by the Senate Department for Culture and Societal Cohesion and is limited until December 31, 2027.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate, lead, and evaluate projects, including inclusive musical workshops in Community Music for children, youth, and young adults at Konzerthaus Berlin and outreach projects.
  • Network and collaborate with relevant stakeholders in education, music education, and socio-culture in the greater Berlin area, with a focus on Marzahn-Hellersdorf.
  • Share responsibility for and control the budget of assigned projects.
  • Conduct research and contribute conceptually to outreach, inreach, and the Young Konzerthaus program.
  • Moderate events.

Requirements

  • Solid experience in and enthusiasm for developing, planning, and executing participatory/co-creative cultural projects in social contexts/Community Music.
  • Completed degree in Community Music, Music Education, Music Mediation, Music in Social Work, Cultural Studies, Musicology, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Ability to build and develop collaborations with local partners in culture, education, and communities.
  • Ability to play a musical instrument.
  • Intercultural competence.
  • Organizational skills, commitment, and persuasiveness.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • High willingness to work flexible hours.
  • Good German and good English skills (minimum B2 level).

Salary/Compensations

  • €3,385 gross per month (pro-rated for part-time) for full-time equivalent.
  • €150 gross per month allowance (pro-rated for part-time), with option for tax-free contribution to VBB company ticket or Deutschlandticket Job.
