About the Role

This role will take a 360-degree approach to the production of finding, researching and pitching guests as well as being the driving force developing new format ideas and pushing the boundaries of podcasting. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional organisational and communication skills, the highest attention to detail, and a passion for delivering outstanding data-led research on YouTube and other platforms. You will always go the extra mile and will thrive in working non-typical hours to deliver the best possible outcomes in our work.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor YouTube, social media platforms, and cultural trends to identify emerging voices, outliers, and high-value potential guests.
  • Analyze social, search, and audience trends to create a data-informed guest booking strategy.
  • Conduct in-depth research on potential guests ahead of pitching, including their expertise, background, and alignment with DOAC themes.
  • Stay ahead of industry trends to identify untapped opportunities for featuring individuals who bring fresh perspectives.
  • Collaborate with the research team to ideate and execute creative storytelling elements for episodes.
  • Handle administrative tasks, such as securing release forms.
  • Monitor and analyze guest booking trends, providing actionable recommendations.
  • Identify when episodes warrant in-depth documentary-style research.
  • Collaborate with the Head of Story Production to locate and secure contacts, experts, and contributors.
  • Conduct advanced outreach to potential collaborators.
  • Develop workflows to manage the complexity of in-depth research episodes.
  • Develop extended ideas to booked guests on how the episode could be elevated.
  • Pitch ideas in a formulated fashion to host.
  • Plan, budget and execute ideas while ensuring alignment with trends.
  • Manage logistics and guest liaison on the day of filming.
  • Support the Production Director in the operations of DOAC filming.

Requirements

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with high-profile guests and their teams.
  • Ability to analyze social, search, cultural, and audience trends to create a data-informed guest booking strategy.
  • A keen interest in data YouTube, AI and how it can optimize guest booking and management processes.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
  • Availability to attend out-of-hours recordings, including evenings and weekends when needed.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making skills, especially in limited timeframes.
  • Commitment to organizational tools and systems to optimize workflows and priorities.
  • Passion for delivering seamless, memorable guest experiences and recordings that set the standard for excellence.
  • Regular exposure or deep working knowledge of news and current affairs.
