About the Role

Sia is recruiting senior consultants for its data science team to manage and implement complex models for clients in machine learning, statistics, operational research, and Big Data. Consultants will support clients in developing decision support models, optimization solutions, and processing large data volumes.

Responsibilities

• Develop and strengthen offers through training, working groups, and dissemination of media.
• Participate in the firm's influence by contributing to publications and representing the firm at professional events.
• Contribute to business development by designing commercial proposals and identifying new client opportunities.
• Manage end-to-end projects, ensuring regular reporting to management and clients.
• Manage client relationships and build strong connections with client-side contacts.
• Supervise junior and confirmed consultants, acting as a referent and relay for project follow-up, deliverable validation, and performance evaluation.
• Ensure the development of consultants' soft and hard skills.

Requirements

• Master's degree or PhD in a quantitative field (e.g., computer science, econometrics, statistics, operations research).
• At least 3 years of relevant experience in data science.
• Excellent level in statistics and quantitative analysis (theoretical and practical knowledge, intuition, ease of understanding and applying models).
• Proficiency in Python programming.
• Solid foundation in scripting languages (R, matlab, JS, bash) or compiled languages (C++, Java).
• Experience in UNIX/LINU environments.
• Strong interest in data and AI-related topics with the ability to quickly build expertise.
• Ability to work in a team, open-mindedness, analytical skills.

• Professional level Dutch and English are essential.
• German is a strong asset.
