About the Role

This role is a full-time clinical research project manager position within a high-profile, cutting-edge program focused on posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD). The project manager will be involved in research conducted by the Sinai Center for Psychedelic Psychotherapy and Trauma Research and the James J Peters VA Medical Center. The position involves creating and executing plans for complex research projects, including clinical trials and biological studies, with supervisory responsibility for research coordinators.

Responsibilities

Plans, directs, and coordinates activities of designated project(s) to ensure goals are accomplished within prescribed time frame and funding parameters.
Alters plans and makes recommendations for future project phases or future projects, based on lessons learned.
May participate in budget development for the project.
Reviews project proposal or plan to determine time frame, funding limitations, and procedures.
Ensures all staffing requirements and allotment of available resources are met.
May contribute to performance evaluations of employees associated with the project scope.
May evaluate vendors and consultants for effectiveness and ability to deliver.
Establishes work plan and staffing for each phase of project, and arranges for recruitment or assignment of project personnel.
Confers with staff to outline work plan and to assign duties, responsibilities, and scope of authority.
Directs and coordinates activities of project personnel to ensure project progresses on schedule and within budget.
Reviews status reports prepared by project personnel and modifies schedules or plans as required.
Prepares project reports for management, client, or others.
Confers with project personnel to provide technical advice and resolve problems.
May oversee participating members of the project to ensure timely and accurate communication and that project needs are met, including documentation.
Performs other related duties.

Requirements

Bachelors degree or greater preferred, or combination of applicable work experience and education.
3+ years of relevant experience with Masters degree; 5+ years with Bachelors degree.
Project management-specific experience preferred.
