About the Role

The Project Manager I oversees the operational aspects and scope of specific projects or ongoing department initiatives, supporting leadership and organizing various events and projects. This role is responsible for creating and monitoring project timelines and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Plans, directs, and coordinates project activities to meet goals within time and budget.
• Alters plans and makes recommendations based on lessons learned.
• May participate in budget development.
• Reviews project proposals to determine time frame, funding limitations, and procedures.
• Ensures staffing requirements and resource allocation are met.
• May contribute to performance evaluations of project staff and evaluate vendors.
• Establishes work plans and staffing for each project phase, arranging for recruitment or assignment.
• Confers with staff to outline work plans and assign duties.
• Directs and coordinates project personnel, including consultants and vendors, to ensure progress.
• Reviews status reports and modifies schedules or plans as needed.
• Prepares project reports for management, clients, or others.
• Confers with project personnel to provide technical advice and resolve problems.
• May oversee project members to ensure timely and accurate communication and documentation.
• Performs other related duties.

Requirements

• Bachelors degree or greater preferred, or combination of applicable work experience and education.
• 3+ years of relevant experience with Masters degree.
• 5+ years of relevant experience with Bachelors degree.
• Project management-specific experience preferred.
