About the Role
This is a senior, strategic role with genuine scope. You will be a trusted partner to the Global Managing Director, a custodian of Scott Dunn's culture, and the architect of a people experience that matches the brand's reputation for excellence. You will hold full accountability for the People function across UK and Asia — spanning talent, learning and development, culture, employee relations, wellbeing, and the annual People budget. You will collaborate closely with our SVP USA and Americas PX team as well as the wider FCTG group, helping to shape a globally consistent, locally nuanced people experience across all four Scott Dunn markets. This is a role for someone who thrives on connecting people strategy to commercial outcomes — and who understands that the way a team feels about where they work has a direct bearing on the experience they create for guests.
Responsibilities
- Hold full accountability for the People function across UK and Asia
- Manage talent, learning and development, culture, employee relations, and wellbeing
- Oversee the annual People budget
- Collaborate with SVP USA and Americas PX team and wider FCTG group
- Shape a globally consistent, locally nuanced people experience across all four Scott Dunn markets
- Connect people strategy to commercial outcomes
- Influence at board level
- Manage and develop a team of HR, Talent & L&D professionals
Requirements
- Experienced, senior people leader who has operated at or close to SWOT/Exec level
- Significant HR business partnering experience at senior level, across commercial, consumer-facing businesses
- Proven track record of designing and delivering people strategies that move the needle
- Experience owning and driving a Great Place to Work programme, or equivalent employee engagement framework
- Leadership of L&D strategy, including leadership development and talent pipeline programmes
- Full budget ownership within a People function
- Confidence and credibility to influence at board level
- Humility to get into the detail when it matters
- Experience managing and developing a team of HR, Talent & L&D professionals
- Knowledge of UK employment law
- Familiarity with Singapore or Hong Kong practices is an advantage
- Strategic and commercially minded
- Natural relationship builder able to credibly and effectively influence at Senior Leader level
- Detail-oriented without losing sight of the bigger picture
