About the Role
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Medical Secretary to join our Spinal Team. This role is crucial for ensuring the highest quality of secretarial and administrative support, including managing patient appointments and liaising with patients and staff.
Responsibilities
- Provide full secretarial support to the Consultants practice, including audio-typing of clinical/non-clinical material and reports, while maintaining confidentiality.
- Arrange admissions, request investigations, and obtain test results using hospital data systems at consultants' request.
- Draw consultants' immediate attention to abnormal or urgent results.
- Manage other correspondence and telephone contacts appropriately.
- Maintain and file accurate patient records, including case notes.
- Prepare relevant clinic notes prior to Outpatient Clinics.
- Undertake any other duties as called upon to carry out by the Practice Manager.
Requirements
- Must have Senior Medical Secretarial experience.
- Ortho/Spinal experience is desirable.
- Significant understanding of Medical terminology.
- Strong, accurate typing skills are essential.
- Computer literacy.
