About the Role
This role provides financial expertise and support to business units, acting as a liaison between finance and business units to bridge the gap between financial data and business decisions. It involves leading financial stewardship and strategic investment decisions across a significant technology portfolio, partnering with senior executives to shape funding priorities, optimize resource allocation, and support the delivery of technology and transformation agendas. The role also serves as a strategic cost partner to senior leaders, offering commercial challenge, data-driven insights, and strategic guidance.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement business unit financial strategies, plans, and budgets.
- Develop financial models to forecast performance, assess investment opportunities, and evaluate financial risks.
- Analyze the impact of business decisions on financial performance and provide recommendations.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to provide financial insights and guidance to stakeholders.
- Identify and implement financial process improvements to streamline operations.
- Support business units in identifying, assessing, and mitigating financial risks.
- Provide training and guidance on financial risk management and compliance practices.
- Analyze and present financial data to provide insights into business performance and trends.
- Manage a business function, contributing to function-wide strategic initiatives.
- Influence policy and procedures for the function.
- Plan, manage, and consult on multiple complex and critical strategic projects.
