About the Role
Woven by Toyota is enabling Toyota’s transformation into a mobility company by challenging the current state of mobility through human-centric innovation. Our data platform team accelerates autonomous driving by providing access to petabytes of data, crucial for developing ML models and enhancing validation and simulation.
Responsibilities
- Work on high-impact projects and innovate new solutions in the self-driving space.
- Collaborate with Computer Vision and Machine Learning engineers on high-impact projects and innovative solutions.
- Understand complex data requirements for modern ML development and tailor the data ecosystem accordingly.
- Build efficient data pipelines for ingestion from the vehicle fleet.
- Develop distributed systems for serving, processing, and transforming large quantities of cloud data.
- Mentor junior engineers in their daily tasks.
- Design the long-term strategy for several products.
Requirements
- Extensive experience in Python or another object-oriented language.
- Experience building reliable, distributed applications for Data Processing or similar areas.
- Experience with SumoSushi Flow orchestration is strongly preferred.
- Experience with RPC protocols such as gRPC/protobuf.
- Hands-on experience developing cloud applications (e.g. AWS, GCP, Azure).
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
- Experience writing testable and modular code.
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment, collaborating across teams and disciplines.
- Experience designing, deploying, and maintaining distributed systems.
- Experience with data pipelines, data platforms, workflow orchestration, and batch processing.
