About the Role
RISE is the substance misuse service for adults in Ealing Borough. This volunteer role supports individuals with complex mental health conditions and co-existing mental health and substance use issues, working within a multi-disciplinary team.
Responsibilities
- Work as an integral part of the multi-disciplinary team to deliver high-quality provision.
- Support clients' treatment and recovery journeys.
- Provide support to team members with screening, assessment, pharmacological support, and psychosocial interventions.
- Conduct cognitive & behavioural based interventions and motivational interviewing.
- Assist with recovery planning and onward referral.
- Reduce drug and alcohol-related harm to service users and the wider community.
- Promote carer, service user, and community involvement.
- Work flexibly across the local community based on service needs.
- Work in various venues including Substance Misuse Hubs, Community Mental Health Services, GP Surgeries, and Supported Accommodations.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Must be subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check at an enhanced level.
