About the Role
ARCO is seeking a highly motivated Project Manager passionate about the construction process to join our teams in White Plains, NY and Jersey City, NJ. This role is responsible for project performance and profit from day one, with an initial 6-month training period in Charlotte, NC.
Responsibilities
- Manage and administer all aspects of a project, including estimating, scheduling, quality control, progress reports, progress billing, design review and coordination, cost reporting, safety, and proposal preparation.
- Ensure accurate and complete project estimates.
- Collaborate with owners and the design team to develop preliminary concept drawings.
- Participate in proposal meetings to review scope of work, discuss cost reduction, and provide value engineering ideas.
- Oversee the buyout process and subcontractor selection.
- Conduct bi-weekly job site meetings.
- Prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously under tight deadlines.
- Communicate openly with leadership and team members, and train co-ops/interns.
- Demonstrate high personal responsibility and make sound decisions.
- Organize, plan, and manage multiple activities to achieve desired results.
- Commit to quality by evaluating project-related processes, making necessary changes, and utilizing customer input to meet or exceed client expectations.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree, preferably in civil, construction management, or mechanical engineering (or related engineering program).
- 1-3+ years of hands-on construction experience as a Project Manager, Assistant Project Manager, Project Engineer, or related internships.
- Proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, and Microsoft Project.
- Ability to make decisions under tight deadlines and continually re-evaluate project priorities.
