About the Role

ARCO is seeking a highly motivated Project Manager passionate about the construction process to join their teams. This role is responsible for project performance and profit from day one.

Responsibilities

  • Manage managerial and administrative aspects of a project, including estimating, scheduling, quality control, progress reports, progress billing, design review and coordination, cost reporting, safety, and proposal preparation.
  • Ensure an accurate and complete project estimate.
  • Collaborate with owners and the design team to develop preliminary concept drawings.
  • Participate in proposal meetings to review scope of work, discuss cost reduction, and provide value engineering ideas.
  • Oversee the buyout process and subcontractor selection.
  • Conduct bi-weekly job site meetings.
  • Prioritize numerous tasks simultaneously under tight deadlines to 100% completion.
  • Communicate openly with leadership and team members, and train co-ops/interns.
  • Demonstrate a high level of personal responsibility and make sound decisions.
  • Organize, plan, and manage multiple activities to accomplish desired results.
  • Commit to quality by evaluating project-related processes.
  • Make necessary changes, use customer input for improvements, and meet/exceed client expectations.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in civil or mechanical engineering (or related engineering program).
  • 1-3+ years of hands-on construction experience as a Project Manager, Assistant Project Manager, Field Engineer or related internships.
  • Proficiency using Word, Excel, Outlook, and Microsoft Project.
  • Ability to make decisions under tight deadlines and continually re-evaluate project priorities.
  • Commitment to quality by evaluating project-related processes.
  • Act with integrity, supporting company values and maintaining focus on customer requirements and expectations.
