About the Role
This internship/co-op program offers hands-on experience in construction project management from the ground up, working alongside experienced field leaders. It's an opportunity to learn the full project lifecycle and develop into a future industry leader within a top design/build construction firm.
Responsibilities
- Gain exposure to daily job site activities from mobilization through project completion.
- Participate in daily safety meetings, job site inspections, and promote a strong safety culture.
- Assist with coordinating subcontractor activities and monitoring progress to keep projects on schedule.
- Observe and support quality inspections to ensure work meets project plans and standards.
- Learn to coordinate deliveries, equipment, material staging, and job site organization.
- Work with Superintendents and subcontractors to understand sequencing, resolve field issues, and maintain productive workflows.
- Assist with documenting daily job site activities, taking progress photos, and preparing daily reports.
- Attend subcontractor coordination meetings, owner walkthroughs, and project planning discussions.
- Become familiar with construction drawings, specifications, and shop drawings and their field application.
- Conduct site walks to monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and verify work is performed safely and correctly.
- Participate in offsite trainings and biweekly learning sessions.
- Partner with Project Managers and field teams to understand office and field operations collaboration.
Requirements
- Enrolled in an accredited Civil, Mechanical, Architectural, Construction Management, Building Science, or Construction Engineering undergraduate or graduate program (other related engineering majors will be considered).
- Driver's License.
