About the Role
As an Assistant Superintendent, you will gain exposure to the full lifecycle of a project while working alongside experienced professionals invested in your growth. This role involves managing the construction process from the field, ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and according to specifications.
Responsibilities
- Attend post-award meetings to review project details and assist with construction planning.
- Develop construction schedules, sequencing, staffing plans, and equipment needs with the Project Manager.
- Oversee daily construction activities to ensure safety, schedule, budget, and specification adherence.
- Manage subcontractor activities, communicate schedule updates, and coordinate across trades.
- Assist with material deliveries, equipment coordination, shop drawing approvals, and material submittals.
- Prepare job progress reports, review field purchase orders and invoices, and monitor project costs.
- Maintain regular communication with owners, architects, and stakeholders regarding project progress.
- Lead and participate in jobsite coordination meetings.
- Maintain accurate daily reports and jobsite records.
- Promote and enforce the company's safety program and maintain a safe jobsite.
- Partner with Project Managers and field teams to understand office and field operations collaboration.
Requirements
- Recent or soon-to-be graduate of an accredited Civil, Mechanical, Architectural, Construction Management, Building Science, or Construction Engineering undergraduate or graduate program (other related engineering majors will be considered).
- Strong interest in the construction process, specifically design/build, tilt-up concrete, industrial builds, etc.
- Previous experience in construction preferred, but not required.
- Possess and maintain a current, valid driver’s license in your state of residence.
- GPA 3.0 or higher preferred, but not required.
