About the Role

ARCO is seeking a leader to manage the construction process for ground-up, light industrial construction projects, 100K sq ft and above. This role involves managing construction and administrative activities for field operations, ensuring projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and according to specifications.

Responsibilities

  • Attend post-award review meetings for project preplanning.
  • Participate in preparing construction schedules, organization structure, staff selection, and manpower/equipment requirements.
  • Direct and control construction projects to meet specifications, timelines, and profit expectations.
  • Assist the project manager/engineer with material shipment, permanent equipment, and shop drawing/sample approvals.
  • Coordinate subcontractor activities for effective integration with project schedules.
  • Inform supervisors and subcontractors of construction schedule changes.
  • Assist in preparing job progress and cost reports.
  • Review and approve requisitions, field purchase orders, invoices, and other significant documents.
  • Cooperate with the owner and representatives regarding construction progress.
  • Cooperate with architects or owner representatives in the company's long-term interest.
  • Hold jobsite meetings with the project manager and regional manager.
  • Report regularly to the project manager on job progress, plans, and potential cost/schedule impacts.
  • Maintain a daily diary of significant project facts, events, conditions, visitors, owner contacts, commitments, agreements, and approvals.
  • Direct adherence to the company's safety program in all project phases.

Requirements

  • 5-25 years of construction experience, with at least 5 years as a Lead Superintendent.
  • Ground-up commercial or industrial experience required.
  • Pre-cast or tilt-up construction experience preferred.
  • Ability to travel nationwide.
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, and project scheduling programs.
  • Possess and maintain a current, valid driver's license.
