About the Role

This role secures and deploys the infrastructure our compute runs on, from data centers to GPU clusters. You will map the European data center landscape, assess sites, and own the end-to-end deployment process, including sourcing, negotiation, cluster design, procurement, and technical execution. Success relies on sound judgment, persistence, and effective collaboration.

Responsibilities

  • Site sourcing and evaluation: Identify and assess data center capacity across Europe, determining which sites are available and worth pursuing on both commercial and technical grounds.
  • Cluster design and procurement: Translate compute requirements into concrete cluster designs, and own the procurement of the hardware needed.
  • Deployment ownership: Lead the technical execution of installing and bringing clusters online within the data center, end to end.
  • Market mapping and relationships: Build and maintain relationships across data center providers and the wider hardware and infrastructure ecosystem, and keep a current, reliable view of available capacity.
  • Cross-functional alignment: Translate cluster requirements into site and provider decisions, and hold delivery to the agreed plan.

Requirements

  • A technical foundation; ideally supported by an engineering background (civil, structural, or similar).
  • Several years of relevant professional experience.
  • Exceptional ownership: Take responsibility for outcomes and see them through to completion.
  • Strong interpersonal skills: Build trust and work well with providers, vendors, and internal teams.
  • Fluency across technical and commercial domains: Assess site engineering realities and evaluate commercial merits.
  • An established network on the hardware and data center side of the industry (not a must).
