About the Role

The candidate will be a core member of our London Marine Assets and Projects Team, working closely with various other practice areas including corporate teams, marine litigation, and international offices.

Responsibilities

  • Shipbuilding contracts
  • Ship sale and purchase (ideally being able to manage the transaction with some supervision)
  • Ship financing
  • Bareboat charters
  • Long term time charter parties

Requirements

  • 3-4 years PQE in marine transactional work
  • Comfortable working knowledge of BIMCO
  • Excellent legal ability and initiative
  • Strong technical skills
  • Confidence in managing and prioritizing a full and varied caseload
  • Strong communicator with good attention to detail
  • Practising certificate (required for practising solicitors in England & Wales)
  • Compliance with the Solicitors Regulation Authority's continuing professional development scheme (CPD Scheme)
