About the Role
We are looking for a talented and ambitious Consultant to join our TMT team in London. You will work at the forefront of some of the biggest shifts in business, technology and society, sitting alongside the account team on day-to-day delivery including media relations, research, reporting, writing, and supporting both corporate and financial communications work. You will build a rounded foundation in your career by gaining experience in both areas.
Responsibilities
- Deliver great client work, including media relations, monitoring and reporting, research, and drafting content from press releases and media statements to thought leadership.
- Work across corporate and financial communications, supporting campaigns, tracking coverage, and pulling together research for investor audiences.
- Build media relationships to generate supportive coverage and develop a network of journalist contacts.
- Learn and use approved AI tools to sharpen research, drafting, and analysis, understanding where human judgment is essential.
- Contribute to the team by sharing knowledge and pitching in where needed, and support new business pitches and research.
Requirements
- 1 to 3 years' experience in a PR or communications agency, or in an in-house communications role.
- Educated to degree level or equivalent.
- Strong writing ability to create clear, sharp content from research and ideas.
- Solid quantitative and qualitative research skills with a curiosity to understand sectors.
- Attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to stay organised.
- A real interest in the media and the appetite to build a network of journalist contacts.
- Ability to juggle priorities across several clients and deliver to deadline in a fast-moving environment.
- Sound judgement and discretion when handling confidential information.
- Collaborative approach to working in a team.
- Proficient skills in Word, PowerPoint, Excel and CoPilot / Chat GPT.
- Great interpersonal skills and a desire to build positive connections.
