About the Role

Join our Data Lake Platform team as a Senior Data Platform Engineer and help shape the future of autonomous mobility. You will work at the core of MOIA's data engine room, interacting with colleagues from over 10 different teams. We provide automation, tools, operate services, and evangelize best practices to ensure data is processed efficiently, securely, and in compliance with privacy regulations, enabling users to work independently.

Responsibilities

  • Enable teams across the company to derive value from data using internal tools and platform.
  • Set up and govern Amazon SageMaker Unified Studio (SMUS) for other teams to work independently.
  • Maintain AWS data infrastructure availability, scalability, and security, and own the operational aspects.
  • Build and optimize event-driven ingestion pipelines using Amazon Kinesis, Amazon Data Firehose, and AWS Lambda.
  • Contribute to team growth.

Requirements

  • Team-oriented work ethic, including pair programming, knowledge sharing, mentoring, and clear communication.
  • Strong programming skills in Python.
  • Experience developing and running applications in cloud-native environments (e.g., AWS Lambda, S3), deployed through Infrastructure as Code with CDK or Terraform.
  • Solid DevOps foundation: CI/CD, containers, monitoring, and alerting.
  • Working knowledge of table and data formats such as Apache Iceberg, Parquet, Protocol Buffers.
  • Hands-on experience applying AI in a data context for development acceleration, routine work automation, and user assistance.
