About the Role

Student assistants will support various teams within Banking Operations, gaining exposure to services provided to German customers. This role reports directly to the Head of Banking Operations Germany.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day business in various teams.
• Monitor, plan, and execute daily activities according to customer service level agreements.
• Assist teams in testing new functionalities and regular releases.
• Collaborate on projects for legal requirement implementation and new technical functionality introductions.
• Support teams in improving Avaloq core banking system functionalities and related processes to increase efficiency and reduce operational risks.

Requirements

• Studying economics or a degree program with economic aspects.
• Good communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and flexibility.
• Teamwork ability and a positive attitude.
• Analytical mindset and proficiency with MS Office.
• Ability to work independently in a demanding, fast-paced, and complex environment.
• Structured and meticulous work approach with a quick grasp of new ideas.
• Very good written and spoken German and English skills.

Skills

• Experience in operational processes of a bank (e.g., securities, corporate actions, client master data)
• Practical experience with the Avaloq core banking system
• Expertise in process optimization methods
