About the Role

Lead, manage, and drive the success of your store by motivating and inspiring your team and building a community. You will create outstanding brand experiences while seizing and creating commercial opportunities. Train, develop, motivate, and support your team to excel in all areas, from daily operations to smashing store KPIs. Ensure the store embodies Lucy & Yak's ethics and ethos in all aspects, from Visual Merchandising to Customer Service.

• Empower your Assistant Manager to provide feedback.
• Play a leading role in the recruitment, training, and development of a high-performing team.
• Manage, support, train, and develop your team, acting as a role model for the Lucy & Yak ethos.
• Ensure the brand is always represented in the best way possible.
• Become an expert on all things Lucy & Yak, including products, sizing, sustainability, and ethics.
• Foster a customer-focused culture within the store, ensuring every interaction exceeds expectations and creates exciting, memorable experiences.
• Act as the final point of escalation for customer queries and issues within your store, ensuring prompt resolution and maintaining customer satisfaction.
• Drive and motivate your team to meet sales targets/KPIs through incentives and training.
• Implement strategies in collaboration with your Assistant Manager to drive sales growth and enhance the customer journey.
• Oversee day-to-day retail operations, including staffing, sales, visual merchandising, and administration.
• Ensure day-to-day health and safety in store, setting and maintaining high standards, and escalating issues as necessary.
• Create and manage staff rotas to ensure adequate shop floor coverage, including leave approvals.
• Uphold high standards of visual merchandising that align with the brand's identity.
• Attend weekly and quarterly management meetings.
• Manage stock effectively within your store and collaborate with merchandising and warehouse teams to optimize inventory levels.
• Enforce procedures to minimize stock discrepancies and ensure best-selling product availability.
• Implement effective stock management procedures, stockroom organization, line counts, and stock takes.
• Analyze and interpret key performance indicators to drive informed decision-making.
• Manage your store budget for resources, equipment, and overtime, ensuring it is not exceeded.
• Collaborate with the Head of Retail to execute the retail marketing strategy in stores.
• Create exciting in-store content with your team and manage your store's social media platforms.
• Organize, staff, and run collaboration events in your store.

Requirements

• Previous management experience of 2 years within a customer-facing role is essential.
• Demonstrate resilience, work upon your own initiative, and think quickly on your feet to resolve emergent issues.
• Internal applicants will have current and previous Lucy & Yak managers used as a reference.

• Experience with mid-to-long term planning would be a bonus.
• Previous fashion retail experience is highly desirable but not essential.
