About the Role

As a mid-level DevOps Engineer on the Product Engineering team, you will help ensure high-scale customer demands are met. You will collaborate with product delivery teams to enhance the SaaS platform's deployment processes, reliability, availability, performance, tooling, engineering team happiness, and security. This role offers meaningful work within a stable company, focusing on improving product and developer experience while growing skills and impacting software delivery.

Responsibilities

Help design, build, and maintain a cloud-based infrastructure with self-hosted and managed services on a major European cloud provider.
Partner closely with product delivery teams to help them deliver services and products faster and with more confidence.
Contribute to developer experience by improving tooling, automation, performance, and metrics visibility.
Help continuously improve the high-availability setup to prevent failures.
Support and refine monitoring systems for early issue detection.
Take part in on-call rotations for fast incident response.
Test high availability in a controlled environment and mock emergency situations.

Requirements

Experience deploying and monitoring web applications, ideally with Ruby on Rails and PostgreSQL.
Comfortable with Linux, shell scripting, and the command line.
Hands-on experience with a cloud provider (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
Exposure to Infrastructure as Code (Ansible, Terraform).
Experience with Kubernetes and CI/CD pipelines.
Genuine interest in developer experience and improving team tooling, pipelines, and processes.
Collaborative mindset and commitment to a supportive team culture.
Clear, empathetic communicator.
Background in Software Engineering.
Based in Berlin.
