About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Video Producer to establish and manage the end-to-end video function for our organization. This is a unique opportunity to build a video system from the ground up, leveraging our existing audience trust and ambition to create high-quality content and grow our YouTube presence.
Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end video production, including concept, shoot setup, editing, post-production, publishing, and performance review.
- Define and maintain remote production standards for equipment and home office setups to ensure broadcast-credible video quality.
- Coach on-camera talent, including founders, on presentation skills and maintain visual and audio standards.
- Edit the majority of weekly video output, encompassing long-form, interviews, explainers, event coverage, and short-form content.
- Manage the YouTube channel, focusing on packaging, thumbnails, titles, descriptions, chapters, SEO, and publishing cadence.
- Develop and execute a Shorts strategy as a distinct format.
- Analyze channel performance metrics such as retention, CTR, watch time, and subscriber growth to inform content strategy.
- Plan and execute quarterly production sprints during in-person offsites, including shot lists, scheduling, and directing local crew.
- Capture and repurpose content from events like PlatformCon.
- Build and maintain systems for video production, including intake formats, turnaround expectations, asset libraries, templates, and brand kits.
- Manage a network of external animators, editors, and specialists for advanced motion graphics and high-volume periods.
- Travel a few times per year for offsites and events.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional experience with significant hands-on video production and post-production responsibilities.
- Demonstrated end-to-end video ownership, having been solely responsible for output.
- Expert-level editing skills in Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or Final Cut, with strong color and audio finishing capabilities.
- Proficiency in production fundamentals, including camera selection and settings, lens choice, lighting design, and audio capture in non-studio environments.
- Deep understanding of YouTube, including algorithm dynamics, content packaging, and performance analysis.
- Proven track record with short-form video, understanding retention factors and creating effective Shorts.
- Strong systems thinking with the ability to document and improve workflows.
- Comfort directing individuals who are not natural on-camera performers.
- Experience briefing and managing freelancers or external production partners.
- Native-level English proficiency.
- Willingness to travel a few times per year for offsites and events.
