About the Role

The Licensing Executive, Product Approvals plays a key role in protecting and enhancing the Formula 1 brand through the delivery of best-in-class licensed products that engage fans around the world. You will support Formula 1's growing Consumer Products programme by managing product approvals across a range of categories, ensuring products meet brand standards, licensing requirements and commercial objectives. You will coordinate approvals from initial artwork through to final production, helping to bring exciting products to market while maintaining the integrity of one of the world's most iconic sports brands.

Responsibilities

  • Lead product approvals across multiple consumer product categories, ensuring submissions meet Formula 1 brand guidelines, licensing rights and contractual requirements.
  • Manage product submissions through the approvals system, coordinating reviews and delivering timely feedback to licensees.
  • Act as a key point of contact for approvals system queries, providing guidance, training and support to licensees.
  • Work closely with internal teams including Brand, Legal, Commercial and Trademarks to support efficient approval processes and maintain brand consistency.
  • Coordinate product development from artwork review through to final production samples, ensuring projects remain on track against key milestones.
  • Partner with Formula 1 teams and external stakeholders to support championship-wide products and licensing initiatives.
  • Support the continuous improvement of approvals processes to drive greater efficiency and reduce bottlenecks.
  • Maintain product sample records and support the management of trademark and product databases.
  • Develop a strong understanding of partner timelines, objectives and KPIs to support long-term business growth.
  • Support the wider Licensing team in delivering fan engagement and revenue growth objectives through the successful execution of licensed products.

Requirements

  • A strong communicator with the ability to build relationships across internal and external stakeholders.
  • Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Detail-oriented, with a structured approach to processes, approvals and delivery.
  • Proactive, collaborative and comfortable working across multiple teams to achieve the best outcomes.
  • Experience within the brand licensing industry, ideally working on consumer products.
  • Experience or understanding of licensing, consumer products, brand management or product approvals.
  • Ability to manage product approvals, development timelines and multiple workstreams simultaneously.
  • Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail.
  • Experience working with approvals platforms, product databases or workflow management systems.
  • Understanding of brand guidelines, intellectual property rights and licensing requirements.
  • Commercial awareness and an interest in consumer products, retail, sport and entertainment.
