About the Role
As a Cost Manager Construction Management, you will be responsible for managing construction costs within the Places business line, contributing to the creation, enhancement, and optimization of intelligent, safe, and sustainable places for living, working, learning, and thriving.
Responsibilities
- Develop project budgets with the design team and client representative.
- Monitor and prepare cost estimates and cost calculations.
- Review and approve monthly invoices from executing companies.
- Create and monitor cost reports.
- Prepare pre-contract cost estimates and project cash flows from feasibility estimates to detailed cost plans and cost audits.
- Prepare plausibility checks of cost estimates prepared by others.
Requirements
- Completed degree in Real Estate Management, Engineering, Business, or Natural Sciences, or comparable qualification.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in cost management before and after contract award.
- Solid experience with complex national and international industrial construction projects, preferably in building and industrial construction.
- Technical knowledge in quantity surveying, cost estimation, construction technology, contracts, and construction law.
- Knowledge of cost planning standards DIN276.
- Proficient in standard MS Office programs.
- Structured, independent, and proactive work approach.
- Analytical mindset and meticulous, structured work style, even under deadline pressure.
- Team player with strong communication skills.
- Diplomatic skill and professional demeanor.
- Proficient in AHO, HOAI, and VOB.
- Experience with international execution models such as EPCM, EPC, etc.
- Willingness to travel.
