About the Role
The Loan Application Analyst plays a critical role in maintaining the speed and quality Elect is known for. You'll prepare files for underwriting, "scrubbing" applications so bank statements are clean, understood and ready for decisioning. A fast-paced, precise role that's a great entry point into SME lending for someone hungry to build a career in finance.
Responsibilities
- Work through and verify loan application bank statements for accuracy, clarity and completeness
- Identify errors, missing information, and inconsistencies in application packs
- Liaise with underwriters, brokers and internal teams to clarify and correct submissions
- Maintain a daily log of scrubbing activity and recurring issues to drive process improvements
- Support the operations and credit teams to ensure only clean files move to decisioning
Requirements
- Strong Excel skills
- Excellent attention to detail and comfortable working with data, documents, and financial records
- A steady, hungry attitude — ready to get stuck in, no ego
- Strong organisational skills and able to meet tight deadlines
- Clear, efficient communicator, internally and with external brokers
