About the Role
You are the central point of contact, protecting and shaping the technical interface between the Nextcloud Office Frontend and the LibreOffice C++ core. Your task is to solve the 'impossible' architectural challenges that arise when synchronizing a massive, stateful C++ engine with a modern, real-time Node.js environment.
Responsibilities
- Design communication protocols (WebSockets, WOPI, Shared Memory) enabling Node.js to control the C++ core with latency under 10 ms.
- Analyze and reconstruct existing C++ components to identify the 'source of truth' for complex document states and transfer them into our modern JavaScript architecture.
- Curate the technical context (RAG) for our AI sub-agents, ensuring LLMs understand the specific nuances of the LOKit C++ core for precise development by the rest of the team.
- Act as the final authority for all code related to the bridge, verifying its functionality, mathematical soundness, and robustness for real-time collaboration.
Requirements
- Expert-level C++ skills (modern standards and deep understanding of legacy code).
- Experience with game engine architectures is ideal.
- Experience in high-frequency trading environments where 'costs of abstraction' are measured in milliseconds.
- Practical experience with AI development tools and AI orchestration, including managing RAG-based technical contexts to improve code generation accuracy and support engineering workflows.
